Synopsis

The story is based on the real-life events of the 2019-20 Hong Kong protests against a bill introduced by the local government. The main character, Dide, is a teenager from Hong Kong who currently lives in Vancouver with his dad and runs a tea restaurant. His mom and sister live in Hong Kong where there is much unrest due to the controversial bill and government crackdown on democratic protests. 

Dide is like any other high school student who worries about his future and feels pressure from his family, but he also worries about the situation in Hong Kong. He struggles to balance his love for his family with his belief in democracy and freedom amidst the different opinions dividing them.

The young people’s demands are all good. They are different from us middle age people, maybe some of us can get some exchange benefits from this movement. What they want is just to pursue their freedom and their dream; however, the price (of resistance) is high.
